I am currently pursuing my degree in Paralegal Sciences and would love to begin working as a secretary or a receptionist at a law firm to gain experience. I have applied online for dozens of jobs, and have not received a single callback. Are there any other job-hunting resources I can try?

How do I find a job as a legal secretary without looking online ?

1. Craigslist.org <– yes, I know it’s an internet website, but most people want hard copy resumes faxed or mailed to them.
2. Check your current school’s employment resource center;
3. Check your former school’s alumni resource center;
4. Check the local law school. There are usually postings for law clerks and sometimes legal assistants.
5. Check your local county (or if you’re really close to the neighboring county, both counties) bar association. Look in their monthly journal/magazine.
6. Classified advertisements in your newspaper;
7. Temporary employment agencies that specialize in law firm employment.
