How important is job history when getting a house?

I have good income, good credit score, and a good down payment but the job history is not good. I have only been at my job 4 months, but I really want a house. Are they even going to consider me?

    If you can document what you were doing prior to working for example if you were in school, or training for the position that you currently have FHA will count that experience towards the two year minimum job requirement.

    From what are agent told us they want at least 2 years at your current job. We have only lived in this new area for 18 months but since my husband was in the same field for over 13 years they had no issues.
