    Pros: it’s interesting, you may be able to help others, it can be satisfying and challenging work, it can pay relatively well, there are different fields within psychology (clinical, counseling, social, etc.)

    Cons:
    If you want to be a psychologist, you usually need to get a doctorate. Some people only get a master’s degree, but a doctorate is usually preferred and better reimbursed by insurance companies. That’s a lot of schooling. You really can’t do a whole lot with bachelor’s degree in psychology.

    Pros: Understanding the human psyche and being able to help people.

    Cons: Highly stressful and not very financially rewarding
