Air Marshals fall under the TSA, and as such, they do not use the standard GS pay scale. They use a special SV pay scale (see link.. http://www.tsa.gov/join/careers/pay_scales.shtm)
Where you start at on that band is dependent on a TON of factors (prior experience, training, other government service time, etc).
Best thing to do, is go to an airport and ask to talk to the TSA management.
